A charity has turned to pizza delivery to help young people avoid the pitfalls of problem gaming.
Pizza boxes bearing the image of a young man seated beside a grey-coloured “missing” friend display text reading: “Problem Gambling Can Void a Friendship.”
The message will be distributed to more than half a million households over the next six to eight weeks as part of a larger campaign including college posters, 30-sec TV commercials, lavatory ads, online banners and youth media.

Peter’s Cajun Creole Pizza, Pizza Memo, Cora’s Pizza, The Big Slice, Paisano’s Pizza and Panini and Cici’s Pizza have all agreed to use the boxes supplied by the Toronto-based Responsible Gambling Council.
The boxes also show the web address of friends4friends.ca, an interactive website for young adults which offers tips to recognize gambling problems.
