Online betting exchange Betfair has agreed to share information on possible dodgy bets with snooker bosses.
It follows revelations last week that Britain’s Gambling Commission is probing bets on a Malta Cup match in which former world champion and ninth-ranked Peter Ebdon lost 5-0 to underdog Liang Wenbo.

“Entering into such agreements and establishing relationships within the betting industry is an important and necessary step for World Snooker to take,” said Sir Rodney Walker, chairman of the sport’s governing body World Snooker.
“These links facilitate our gathering of information to assist in any enquiries.”
World Snooker has had a similar agreement with the Association of British Bookmakers since 2005.
