Spanish Lottery bosses reckon they’re on to a lucky streak with their latest web site.

Less than a month after loteriasyapuestas.es was launched, offering lottery and sports betting games, national lottery company STL says its performance has been “extremely positive”.

“Nowadays sales through this alternate channel are a must,” said STL’s Online boss Alfonso Pedro Fernández Garcia.

“The rapid growth of Internet penetration that we’ve been witnessing in Spain makes it imperative to implement new sales channels in order to stay competitive.”

Games at the new web site include a variety of classic lottery games such as La Primitiva, Euro Millions and the famous El Gordo, alongside Lototurf and Quintuple Plus, internet versions of popular horse racing games.

STL is expected to publish detailed results in the coming month.
