A quiet English university town could get its FIRST casino if plans to convert a riverside office building get the go-ahead.
Riversway House in Lancaster was built on the site of a former Happy Eater restaurant and was most recently home to an Internet hosting company, Legend Communications.
Now, if the plans are approved, it will soon be chips with EVERYTHING as punters place their bets on the new roulette wheels and poker tables.
New Jobs
The company behind the plan says both ground and first floors of the building will be turned into a casino, although some office space will be retained.
They also claim the new casino would create around 30 jobs.
But prospective office bosses need not worry their staff will be lured away to adjacent tables. Proposed opening hours are 6pm to 4am, seven days a week
City planning chiefs are expected to decide in November.
