A new casino promises to be HOT STUFF with the announcement that Britain’s top curry chef is to supply the food!
Michelin-starred Vineet Bhatia says he will be heading up the kitchen at Leeds’ new £13 million Alea Casino, whenever he can.
Accolade
The much-delayed “new generation” casino spreads over three floors, boasts two restaurants, seven bars, a conference centre, a 50-seat “boutique” cinema and private event space for 500 people.
Bombay-born Vineet, 41, won his Michelin star in 2001 and saw his London eatery Rasoi awarded the prestigious accolade in 2006.
He said: “This will be my first restaurant in the UK outside London. I am currently working on the menu and will be including one or two SURPRISES with some Yorkshire culinary influences.”
Globe-Trotting
Bhatia has restaurants around the globe, including Mauritius, Geneva, Saudi Arabia, Moscow and Dubai.
Alea’s doors finally open next month — almost a YEAR LATE — with a promise of “one of the biggest launch parties the northern city has ever seen”.
