Casinos in Vegas and Atlantic City may be facing EXTINCTION as live dealer internet casinos lead a surge in the popularity of online gambling, an American operator claims.
Facing with soaring fuel costs and the credit crunch Yanks are staying home to gamble on their PC rather than drive hours to play at casinos on Indian reservations, riverboats or the middle of a desert.
New figures show that while growth at Atlantic City actually FELL by 7.5% over the past 12 months, U.S. internet casinos saw a 9.8% INCREASE — even though current US law effectively bans all web gaming. Figures show 9 million Americans now gamble online.
Player Worries
And industry insiders say online growth would now be as much as 16% if people trusted results from Random Number Generation software (RNGs).
Online casinos in the UK and Europe including big names like SmartLiveCasino.com and LiveRoulette.com have seen even bigger rises.
“Players still worry that digital casino software could affect the outcome,” said Dan Delgato, director of operations for LazerWager.com.
“However, with live dealer casino software, players no longer have to worry about being cheated by a computer — the outcome is determined from a real deck of cards actually being dealt in our casino!”
Realistic Experience
Delgato insisted that live dealer casino software also gave the most realistic gaming experience available on the Internet with players actually watching a real person dealing and shuffling the cards in real-time streaming video.
LazerWager currently offers five live dealer games including BlackJack, Roulette and Baccarat but soon hopes to offer Red Dog Poker, Let it Ride Poker, Casino War, Three Card Poker, Red Dog Poker and Rummy 777.
The company also has plans for America’s first-ever Live Dealer Elimination BlackJack Tournament Software.
